I’ve made a lot of drawing process video’s over the years, and this one of REDValentino collection has to be one of my favorite ones yet. I’m excited for you to see it. The Music you might recognize from the Inspiration Friday post a few months ago. The Song is “Girls” by Masakatsu Takagi on the Album “COIEDA”. It’s hard to describe the feelings you get when listening to Masakatsu Takagi’s music. It has such honesty and feeling. Due to his lack of formal/Classical structure, the music seems like you’re listening to a stream of consciousness in musical form. I first discovered Masakatsu Takagi in my first year of fashion school, when Apple did a feature on him in a 2006 video called ‘Sound of Light‘.
As I speed up the hours and hours of video footage the sparatic nature of how i drew reminded me alof of Masakatsu Takagi’s music. Once i place it in there it was a perfect fit. This Fashion Illustration took 3 days to draw. So the video is speed up roughly 11,000 times faster. It takes you from the light table transfer of my concept sketch till the completion of the peice. In the future i’m planning on document from first concept sketch till completion so you can see all the stages should be interesting. I’m making another video that has the post production part of it. I hope you like it. :)
It took me a few days to drawing and film this timelapse video. So I had to speed the video up 7000 times faster. If only I could draw that fast…. The drawing is of model Katiusha Feofanova’s Vogue Cover. This Video was released early last month on monthly Patreon. Also I’m giving the original artwork from these videos away to one of my patrons(the Scholar tier). If you want to support my work and be eliable to win sign up here. :) For those who have helped support me on Patreon over the last few months, I am forever grateful. Thank you! 🙏
✨ Music ✨
The music is from a beautiful Anime Movie, ‘Your Name’ (君の名は。). The song is called Date (デート).
It’s funny how the littlest things remind me of being a kid. Making this video I couldn’t help but be reminded of that childhood feeling from when you first get to play with new toys that you just opened up on Christmas morning.
Instead of toys this year, my amazing family helped me out with art supplies that I needed and this was my first drawing getting to break them in. Postnova Stanislava (aka Ruby.Tear) is the Russian ballerina that inspired these sketches. If you have followed my work, for a period of time, I’m sure you have noticed a pattern that I fall into. Where someone Inspires me, I tend to draw them lot… I don’t know what causes it or why it happens. Such is life. I say all of this just to warn you this isn’t my last time drawing Postnova. 😉
The music in the video is by one my favorite singer / songwriters Lydia Cole. The honesty and purity of her voice blows me away every time I hear it. Her music is on repeat playing in the background when I’m drawing. Please check her out she is an incredible human being.
For those who have helped support me on Patreon over the last few months, I am forever grateful. Thank you! 🙏

I had so much fun making this video. It was great going through old and new projects, and revisiting amazing trips 🇯🇵. Made me miss Japan. I need to make a video from my trip there.
The song is by Imogen Heap. Special thanks to Nick Bowser for the Tiffany and Company footage.
P.S. The full version of the ballerina animation is pre-released on Patreon. ;)
I finally got around to editing the stop motion speed painting video of painting Laura O’Grady. The Video turned out better than i thought i would be. It’s a tricky thing painting a negative but i love the result. The Music is by my good friend Ryan Baxley. I hope you enjoy the video, and hope you like the Art in Motion Series.

Hey Friends! I hope you had a great weekend! Just got back from watching kids I used to coach compete in their final competition of the year. I wanted to post this video my brother and I made from Narciso Rodriguez Fall 2011 Fashion show a few weeks ago. I really like how it turned out. It kind of has a hypnotizing effect… Well at least to me ;) I really hope you like it!
Hey Friends, how was your weekend? Mine was great! My Family and i went Stand up paddle boarding today, and it was pretty fun. Also i finally finished Editing the video i shot at Rachel Antonoff‘s Spring 2011 Presentation! I’m really happy on how the video turned out. My goal was to create a video that captured the mood i felt at the presentation (which is pretty much the mood i feel 85.3% of the time… hah) the song in the video is from a group called “Slowblow“. And this song has been one of my favorites for a while so i was so happy that it was a perfect fit for this Short Film! Let me know what you think! I hope you like it! :)
Hey Friends! Happy Friday! I know it’s Inspiration Friday, So instead of posting images, i thought i would post this little motion Test i did today, for the Dream Walking Society. I’m thinking of starting to direct little movie shorts & Music Videos… SO, i made this little special effects test today to see if i could pull off some ideas i want to do. I hope you like it :) The Music is from one of my favorite bands, Efterklang. Let me know what you think! Have a great day!
hahahhahahahahahahaha Well Alice Came over yesterday, so we decided to have some stop motion fun… haha We made 2 little shorts. The First one was a little Gumby Stop Motion Movie. and then the second was this Hide & Go Seek Short! haha i know it’s random, but it was fun to make. Alice Styled the Film Short, and we climbed up on the hill behind my house. Then we just went for it. hahah so ridiculous! I hope you like it. The song is by Jon Brion from the “I heart Huckabees” sound track.
