It being Thursday, I thought I would do a “Throw Back Thursday” of one of my first client jobs I’ve done. This illustration is of “Love” for my second collaboration with Gwen Stefani‘s Harajuku Lovers. This is my favorite illustration from that collaboration, the colors and expression came out really nice. This project feels like a life time ago. I’m going to be forever grateful to Jolie, Gwen, and everyone one at Harajuku Lovers for working with me. It was a very special project.
As you know I’ve been branching out from just drawing and painting to also pursue photography. So this past July I contacted my good friend, photographer Chadwick Tyler, about collaborating on a photographic/art project. On paper our artistic styles seem like opposites, however we thought it would be interesting to find some middle ground to merge our own unique visions. Through the process of exploring our artistic compatibility, over three days we created 140 different collages. It was amazing to me how well our pieces complemented each other. The frame above is the first of many pieces that will be posted from time to time. The funny thing is, this project wasn’t even part of our proposed collaboration, it was done solely for the purpose of figuring out how our works would look together. I was, and am still, completely shocked and blown away at how well the styles work together.
Hey friends, how was your weekend? And for you in the US, how was your Thanksgiving? Well, the painting today is one i co-painted with artist and model Codie Young. This was one of the greatest Artist Collaboration, i’ve done. I wish you could see it in real life. It’s one of my favorite paintings, and sadly pictures don’t do it justice. It’s 30″X40″ on Wood. All the skin tone and hair was painted with wood stain, which was super interesting to use as an art medium. I will definitely be using it again. For the background and markings we used oil paint. We carved out the eyes two layers deep into the wood and painted in with acrylic. It was so much fun painting it with Codie. It was my first time ever painting a picture at the same time with someone also. It was an interesting and great experience. I have a video that I will be posting soon on the process. For you Art collectors out there this Piece is up for sell in the Igor + André Store.
Also Tomorrow My Skillshare Class opens up. You Can Sign up Here. Please let me know what you think of the class. I spent a lot of time on the class and really hope it helps you grow as an artist/Fashion enthusiast.
Hey friends! Well I’m excited to finally show you the Collaboration i did with Heutchy Shoes. Heutchy shoes is one of my all time favorite men’s shoe company. I think they make the best shoes. So needless to say, i was honored to design fabric for another pair of shoes. They were looking for a very bright saturated abstract texture of the print. I played around with a few ideas and this neon leaves idea was what i finally came up with. I really like how they turned out :) I still haven’t seen them in person, but i’m dying to! What do you think? I hope you like them! :) If you didn’t see last year’s collaboration with them click here
So i finally made a video for the collaboration i did with Caravan for elle style 360 this last Fashion Week. I’ve been wanting to make this Film Short for months now… The concept was to show the process form concept to being made. The Song is by a musician i just heard for the first time two weeks ago named Peter Broderick. His music is pretty amazing, and was a prefect fit for the vibe I wanted for the video. The Girls in the video are the lovely Kylie Bisutti & Chiara. I had a lot of fun designing the dresses and really like how they turned out. Thank you Claudine for letting me be involved :) I hope you all like it and hope you have a wonderful new years eve! ;)
Well my friends! I’m glad to finally post a picture of the dress i designed for Caravan’s Style 360 Show. My Friend Claudine to design a dress 2 weeks or so before the show, and it was so incredible how everything came together. I really like how it turned out. Victoria Secret Model Kylie Bisutti wore the White dress and Chiara wore the green dress. I really hope you like it! I have a picture of it on “Inside my Brain“.
Hey Friends! So I’m excited to announce my Collaboration with the W Hotels for Fashion’s Night Out! A little bit ago, I was asked to design Limited Edition totes for the W Hotels. Since it’s Spring Fashion Week, I wanted the art to feel like spring. So my theme was “It’s Spring~Love is in the Air” Then I had a concept of “Couple Bags”. Basically, I designed the guy’s bag in the vain of the girl’s bag, so the bags would look like a matching set, if that makes sense? Also, the W is going to have a Fashion Night Out event that i’m a part of! It’s on Sept. 10 at the W in Times Square from 5 to 8pm. If you want more info there is info up Here. Well my friends, i hope you like it! :)

On a side note I know back when I posted my portrait of Agathe she was finished with blogging, and I couldn’t get a hold of her. Since then i have talked with her and she is doing great.
