Hello Friends! How is your weekend going? Mine has been super relaxing! i’m hoping to have a good long afternoon of hanging out drawing today. Posted non stop yesterday on the Dream Walking Society. Oh and the Speed Painting Video went over 10,000 views! Thank you so much! So awesome! First of my videos to do that. So amazing, thank you. The painting today is from an editorial i started, but ended up not finishing. I thought you might like it. It has some funky layering, and the setting is St. Basil’s Cathedral in Russia! i hope you like it!
GOOOD MORRRnning to all! I’m currently finishing up my second coffee this morning and excited about today! So, first off just want to apologize for the lack of new drawings. I’ve been swamped on projects trying to finish up Miss Sophie Wards and my kid’s book. Getting very excited, going to work all today on it, but anyways, i’ve been feeling guilty about not posting any new drawings, so i ended up starting a picture at 11 last night and working till 2 for you all… but you know me, i couldn’t just do a straight forward picture…. so i tried this crazy crazy experimental technique that i made up in my head a few days ago… and well the picture turned out super crazy and weird… I wasn’t sure about posting it. haha so i decided to post a close up of this Lookbook drawing i did for the Academy of Art for New York Fashion Week. it’s actually one of my favorites from the Lookbook, which on a side note was like 2 years ago! What the !? It seems like just yesterday! Oh my, how these drawing just roll by! Have a wonderful day! :)
In June 2007 Simon Ungless, Director of Graduate Fashion at the Academy of Art, asked me to illustrate the School of Fashion’s Lookbook for New York Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. I jumped with excitement at the offer. I worked night and day through the month of July producing one drawing a day for it. So yeah, this is my first Lookbook I’ve ever done. Hope yawl enjoy it.
