Fashion Collections
The Infinity Dress
Good Afternoon, my friends! How is your day going? Ok. So, last night, my brother and i went to a Private Showing of Donna Karan‘s collection at Nordstroms with Fashiontoast.com‘s very own, Rumi, and her boyfriend Colin. The night was so much fun. It was great to finally meet Rumi & Colin; they are amazing, so nice. ;) Well, the night started out watching Donna Karan’s “System of Dressing” Video, which was really fascinating. Going into the night, i wasn’t super familiar with Donna Karan collections, and i have to say, i was blown away! So impressed. Her design philosophy is pretty much exactly the same as mine. The collection’s drape was pretty much flawless. haha! Can you tell how excited i am? haha Well, the best piece of the night, i think hands down, was her “Infinity Dress”. Basically, the dress has an endless number of looks. Seriously! After the presentation, i was able to take pictures of the model wearing the dress, and we played around with a handful of different looks of the Infinity Dress. In a matter of 5 minutes, the DK team whipped out 4 different looks. It was amazing, so i decided to draw the looks from last night. Keep in mind, this is all the same dress. i hope you like these sketches ;)

The infinity dress isn't so new. Go to craftster.org and you'll see people who have been DIY-ing something very similar for the past three years or so.
