I Play With Crayons

Hello friends, please forgive my quick sabbatical. My 4 best friends came into town and reunited in the first time in a while. We have all been friends since i was in 2nd grade, so needless to say, i was out and about. Posted some pictures from it up on my Image Diary. The picture i posted is a goofy self portrait i did with a little Crayon set. It was really fun drawing and coloring with crayons. Wow, there are so many fun things to do when you are a little kid; coloring, playing tag, playgrounds, Hide and Go Seek, the hot lava game. i’m been really wanting to play those games lately. i need to find a group to play it with… and probably need to find a good forest for it, too.

  1. I like how the yellow/orange works with the purple. But the rest…Hmm, I’ll try to explain it:

Actually I tried a few times to make something with oil crayons – but I never like it. It’s always so “heavy” and “too much”.
Do you know what I mean?

  2. The outlining with the black and your technique used in this piece seems very reminiscent of Van Gogh– and it is all the more incredible that you used crayons! Oh, to be a child again… I’m so glad you enjoyed your little hiatus. Hope you are well!
    Ciao ciao,

  3. I’ve never heard of the hot lava game but it sounds amazing… you’ve really given me the urge to play Blocky. Or Bulldog. Or any of those other brilliantly violent games.

  4. Hey, you seem to have a lot of girl fans breezing by like seaweed in the ocean. Will I become one of them?

Your work’s inspiring, I’ll give you that. And you’re way to young and handsome as well.
    Oh well oh well.
