Day 3 – Horse Girl
Hello friends, how’s your Sunday going? Well, mine is going great. i started to try to develop the background layer today. Almost done with the underpainting. Not quiet sure what i’m doing, but it’s starting to come around, i think. i might need to let the paint sit for a day. i hope you all aren’t getting sick of the post on the process. If you are, just let me know. :)
i love looking at how it changes over the days its fascinating to compare them and the undercolours used. Very inspirational
January 26, 2009 at 6:46 amI really like your work and I appreciate it, and… I’m not amused this time. Lady on picture look so skinny, almost unhealthy. And unhappy. But maybe You just want it like that?
January 26, 2009 at 8:20 amAnyway, I can’t wait for the final!
Greetings!
Re: Agata
January 26, 2009 at 2:33 pmSorry your not enjoying this one.
with oil painting there is a long layering
process. i’m not even done with the “sketching” portion of the picture yet.
so it should change a lot from here.
about 10% done with it.
i hope you will like the end product. :)

Please keep posting your progress on this painting. It is beautiful and it's fascinating to see how it develops.
p.s. I really appreciate the way you responded to Agata. So tactful & polite of you. It is really nice to see someone not become defensive or rude when faced with a bit of criticism.
